THIS IS PROBABLY THE GREATEST INTERVIEW IN THE HISTORY OF WRESTLING AND IT HAPPENED ON SEPTEMBER 14TH 1998 ON WCW MONDAY NITRO IN GREENVILLE SOUTH CAROLINA AND BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN BELOW THE VIDEO TO READ THE WHOLE STORY BEHIND THIS VIDEO

THE REAL STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED IN 1998 BETWEEN RIC FLAIR AND ERIC BISCHOFF AND WHAT LED TO THE VIDEO ABOVE

IN APRIL OF 1998 RIC FLAIR'S 10 YEAR OLD SON REID WAS IN THE AAU NATIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT IN DETROIT,MICHIGAN IN THE 110 POUNT WEIGHT CLASS. RIC FLAIR AS ANY FATHER WOULD WANTED TO ATTEND THIS TOURNAMENT TO SEE HIS SON WRESTLE. HE INFORMED ERIC BISCHOFF A FEW WEEKS IN ADVANCE THAT HE NEEDED THE NIGHT OFF AND BISCHOFF HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT.

WELL A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT WHILE BISCHOFF WAS IN JAPAN HE CALLED FLAIR TO TELL HIM THAT HE COULD NOT GO TO THE TOURNAMENT TO SEE HIS SON WRESTLE BECAUSE HE WANTED HIM TO APPEAR ON WCW THUNDER WHICH WAS THE 2ND RATE SHOW THAT WCW AIRED ON TBS ON THURSDAY NIGHTS.

BISCHOFF ALSO INFORMED HIM THAT HE OFFERED TO CHARTER A PLANE TO FLY HIM  FROM THE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT IN DETROIT TO TALLAHASSEE WERE WCW THUNDER WAS BEING HELD - ON THE CONDITION THAT FLAIR PAY FOR HALF THE AIR-FARE. OF COURSE RIC FLAIR SAID NO. THEN ERIC BISCHOFF FIRED RIC FLAIR AND THEN SUED HIM FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT. THEN RIC FLAIR COUNTERSUED, FLAIR CAME VERY CLOSE TO GOING TO THE WWE AT THIS TIME AND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF BUT HE DIDN'T AND SO THEY SETTLED OUT OF COURT.

THE VIDEO ABOVE IS FROM SEPTEMBER OF 1998, RIC FLAIR HAD BEEN OFF OF TV FOR 5 MONTHS AND AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE FANS WERE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE HIM BACK. A GUY NAMED BILLY PETERSON FROM BALTIMORE, MARYLAND WHO IS 56 YEARS OLD SENT ME A  E-MAIL TODAY AND TOLD ME A FASCINATING STORY THAT I WANT TO SHARE WITH ALL OF YOU, HE SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN TO AT LEAST 200 LIVE WRESTLING EVENTS IN HIS LIFETIME IN ALL MAJOR FEDERATIONS BUT HE SAID THE NIGHT OF SEPTEMBER,14TH 1998 IN GREENVILLE,SC WAS THE MOST EXCITING EXPERIENCE THAT HE HAS EVER HAD.

HE SAID THAT WHEN RIC FLAIR'S 2001 SPACE ODYSSEY MUSIC STARTED PLAYING THE FLOORS IN THE ARENA ACTUALLY STARTED SHAKING BECAUSE THE FANS WERE STOMPING THEIR FEET AND SCREAMING SO LOUD, THIS GUY HAS BEEN TO WRESTLEMANIA'S AND STARRCADE'S AND SEEN THE ROLLING STONES AND KISS PERFORM IN CONCERT AND HE HAS BEEN TO ONE SUPER BOWL PLUS COUNTLESS OTHER MUSIC CONCERTS AND SPORTING EVENTS IN HIS LIFETIME BUT HE SAID HE HAS NEVER HEARD A BIGGER CROWD RESPONSE LIKE THE ONE RIC FLAIR GOT ON THAT SPECIAL NIGHT IN GREENVILLE SC.

HE ALSO SAID THAT WHEN NITRO WENT OFF OF THE AIR THAT NIGHT THAT THOUSANDS DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE THE ARENA, EVERYONE WANTED TO STAY TO TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY HAD JUST WITNESSED SO AFTER PROBABLY ABOUT A HOUR THE SECURITY PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAD TO GET ON THE LOUD SPEAKERS AND TELL EVERYONE THAT THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO LEAVE, BILLY SAID HE REMEMBERS THE GUY SAYING THAT EVERYONE HAS TO LEAVE THE BUILDING NOW AND THAT YOU ALL CAN GO OUTSIDE AND TALK BUT YOU GOT TO LEAVE THE ARENA.

I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THAT STORY AS MUCH AS I DID, I FOR ONE BEING A RIC FLAIR FAN AND EXPERT KNOWS WHAT A SPECIAL ATHLETE HE IS AND HOW MUCH HE IS LOVED BY HIS MILLIONS OF FANS BUT IF ANYBODY HAS ANY DOUBT HOW LOVED THE MAN IS JUST MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE THIS ARTICLE AND I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU WON'T HAVE ANY MORE DOUBTS.

ONE FINAL THING, MANY YEARS FROM NOW WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS THE NAME ERIC BISCHOFF THERE WILL BE ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO SAYS ERIC WHO BECAUSE HE WILL BE FORGOTTEN IN THE WORLD OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING, BUT THERE IS ONE PERSON WHO WILL NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN AND HIS NAME IS RIC FLAIR.
